Scope of Data Processing

This website is a static online presence of the holiday flat 9° Ost and does not record bookings directly. Guests book exclusively through the Smoobu booking system described below.

Booking Data (via the Smoobu System)

Guests wishing to make a booking are directed to the Smoobu booking system. Smoobu GmbH (seat in Germany) is responsible for processing booking data. The data collected in the booking form (name, email, arrival date, departure date, number of persons, special requests) is transmitted directly to Smoobu.

Retention period: Smoobu and the owner store booking details for management and documentation

The owner receives a copy of every booking and uses this data to contact the guest, coordinate arrival and send the invoice. Special categories of personal data are not collected.

Booking Channels (Booking.com, Airbnb)

The flat is also listed on Booking.com and Airbnb. Guests who book through these platforms have entered their guest data with those platforms. Smoobu synchronises availability and bookings with these channels, but there is no direct data transfer between this website and Booking.com or Airbnb.

If you book through these channels, your data is subject to the privacy policies of the respective platform.

Cookies and Tracking

This website does not set cookies itself. No tracking pixels, analytics tools or ad trackers are used.

The Smoobu Booking Widget

The booking system is integrated as an embedded frame (iframe) from booking.smoobu.com. Simply visiting this website does not set any cookies. If you use the booking form and send a request or book, Smoobu sets its own session data to manage your request.

Smoobu processes booking data on behalf of the owner and acts as a processor. The basis is the data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR, which Smoobu concludes as part of the platform contract and publishes at https://www.smoobu.com/de/avv (available in German only).

According to the list of sub-processors published by Smoobu, web servers are located at Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany, so booking data remains in the EU. For sending messages between guests and the owner, Smoobu uses Amazon Web Services based in the USA; for transfers to third countries, the agreement provides for the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Hosting Provider

The hosting provider of this website is hosttech GmbH, Seestrasse 15a, 8805 Richterswil (Switzerland). The website runs in the DATAROCK data centre in Nottwil (canton of Lucerne, Switzerland).

The hosting provider processes the technical access data mentioned above to provide the website.

Booking.com and Airbnb

The owner has set up a synchronisation link with Booking.com and Airbnb to synchronise availability information and bookings. These platforms are treated as separate data controllers; their privacy policies are available on their respective websites.
